In the world there ar not people or races inferior or superior

In the world there are NOT people or races inferior or superior, only different people. (English).

"... But of all modes I will be back, We will be back, It will be back for all people native to this world the true understanding. And will as I said above, and we will have all the wisdom of knowing not kill between us, and that everything is the way of knowing what we know, which is very much in every way, and to construct and to respect the built by man for man's welfare ... And so be fulfilled tomorrow”.Mayan Codex.

The history starring by people who have lived within the geographical boundaries of Guatemala of today, so ancient, so old, full of ancient conflicts, is not different from the history of other countries. It is not our country different from others in this regard.

In every nation, different cultures are established which were locked into whimsical, capricious and disrespectful borders. Inside boundaries several conflicts are generated, that must be resolved with political agreements and never through military intervention.

We must think carefully about the old conflicts happening around the world through the centuries. To cite a few: between Tlaxcala and the Aztec, Roman and Swiss, Achaeans and Trojans, Britons and Saxons, Manchu and Hanes. In Guatemala ancestral differences between Q'anjobales, Mam, Quiche and ethnicity that emerged years later in our lands, Ladino (resulting from the crossbreeding between ethnics pre-Columbians and spaniards).

There have been great civilizations that, through invasions gave death and destruction, as well as its rich culture and knowledge to those who are living and their descendants, that have changed the history and thus shaped today's global society, whose rich mixture, are sons and heirs by genetics and tradition. Otherwise, the world would be very different of what is now, maybe better maybe worse. What is certain is that, possibly none of those now living, had ever inhabited the earth.

Let’s think carefully, that probably our blood circulating has genetic traces of Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Mongols, Turks, Mayas, Englishes, Spaniards and who knows what ethnic diversity. For our blood runs cosmopolitanism from all corners of the planet.

Therefore are irrelevant statements intending to seek ethnic or racial purity, because if it matters pedigree, could be accepted as ethically good the marriage with blood relatives. But this practice has been rejected in most cultures, due to genetic degeneration (or it is a sin according to some religions).

There are weak arguments based on the anchoring of ancestors of a single culture, leaving aside the richness of the diverse human (which by its human sense is not without flaws) that with the rest of our ancestors contributed to our personal history. However, such futile arguments have been used as a pretext by some leaders to obtain immorally the goods of others, to establish institutions for obtaining political rents or in extreme cases, to trigger wars.

Indeed, currently exists in Texas, United States, a debate among other aspects, because the members of the State Board of Educacion are limiting the recognition of Hispanic heritage in the development of that State.

The case of non-recognition of the contribution interracial, interethnic or intercultural over millennia, also impacts on the considerations of the migration phenomenon, because, one way or another, we are all immigrants in the territory that we inhabit o we are descendants of migrants. Are immoral all of barriers to migration, introduced legally by citizens who are living in those territories, thanks to the happy consequences of this phenomenon.

There is no such autochthony on Obama, less on Schwarzenegger, there was in neither Hitler or Rigoberta Menchú as to the territory where they are living, lived, or where they were born, because their ancient ancestors comes from Africa, the Alpine peaks and of cultural hybridity among pre-Columbian Maya, Toltec, Quiche, Tzotzil, and stemming from post-colonial human mobility, each one.

Hence the enormous responsibility placed on the shoulders of contemporary educators as to the proper teaching of history, as it is scientifically proven that: ¡we are all brothers! The full understanding of the history and present reality, will contribute to the strengthening of human brotherhood. There are no people or races inferior or superior, only different people.

Gaudeamus Igitur. Tecnicos en Investigacion Criminal y Forense. Technicals in Criminal Investigation and Forensics

"Gaudeamus Igitur" during the graduation of the First Sutdents Promotion of Technical University in Criminal Investigation and Forensics. (English).

On Saturday 20 March this year 2010 in the auditorium of University Regional Campus
"San Roque Gonzalez de Santa Cruz S.J." Huehuetenango, Guatemala, was held a graduation ceremony of the First Students Promotion of Technical University in Criminal Investigation and Forensics.

The activities of new graduates will generate contributions to the public
environment with emphasis on the administration of justice, acting assistant prosecutors,  crime scene investigators or police officers.

Their activity will be useful also in the private sector, in research for private enterprises, which may require services in clarifying issues related to their knowledge, skills and abilities, not only in resolving specific cases of finding of facts, but also on security (personal, environmental, banking, insurers and others).

Its scope extends to support for law firms, in criminal matters addressed procedural matters, both the accuser and the defense of the victim.

They are Eduardo Benjamín Gómez Mérida, Mauro Isaí Hernández Aguirre, Marilyn Dalila Martínez Carrillo, Consuelo Albertina Mendoza Hernández, Vera Carolina Morales Mendoza, Ricardo
Iván Ordóñez Ordóñez, Luis Fernando Palacios Félix, Obdulio Augusto Pérez y Pérez, Luis Alberto
Quiñónez García, Baldomero Lissandro Rojas Ros, Exon Yoao Salazar Samayoa, Jorge David Santos Tello, José Domingo Tello Méndez and  Hugo Vinicio Villatoro Esteban.

With my respectful greetings to them and because they heard during the graduation anthem "Gaudeamus Igitur" ( "Let us therefore rejoice")which is a song by an anonymous student, I would transcribe the Latin version and translations, so that each time that they read this greeting, remember this momentous event in his life.

It is considered that this song was originally titled "From Brevitate vitae" ( "On the shortness of life") and originally sung in German universities in the mid eighteenth century.

According to some sources, his handwriting is not very academic, but most European universities usually taken as the anthem of their own, singing in major academic solemnities.Usage also adopted in the URL in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. <

The lyrics are very striking for all professionals and inspiring for those who
want to obtain a university degree.
One of the most beautiful versions I found of the Gaudeamus Igitur is on the site
INGEB.ORG
-Latin-
Gaudeamus igitur,
iuvenes dum sumus. (bis)
Post iucundam iuventutem,
post molestam senectutem,
nos habebit humus.

Ubi sunt qui ante nos
in mundo fuere?
Transite ad superos,
vadite ad inferos,
hos si vis videre.

Vivat Academia,
vivant professores.
Vivat membrum quodlibet,
vivant membra quaelibet,
semper sint in flore.

Vivant omnes virgines,
faciles, formosae
vivant et mulieres
tenerae, amabiles
bonae, laboriosae.

Vita nostra brevis est, breve finietur.
Venit mors velociter,
rapit nos atrociter,
nemini parcetur.

Vivat nostra societas!
Vivant studiosi!
Crescat una veritas,
floreat fraternitas,
patriae prosperitas.

Vivat et res publica,
et qui illam regit.
Vivat nostra civitas,
Maecenatum charitas,
quae nos hic protegit.

Pereat tristitia,
pereant osores.
Pereat diabolus,
quivis antiburschius,
atque irrisores.

Quis confluxus hodie
Academicorum?
E longinquo convenerunt,
Protinusque successerunt
In commune forum.

Alma Mater floreat
quae nos educavit,
caros et conmilitones
dissitas in regiones
sparsos congregavit.
- ESPAÑOL-

Alegrémonos pues,
mientras seamos jóvenes.
Tras la divertida juventud,
tras la incómoda vejez,
nos recibirá la tierra.

¿Dónde están los que antes que
nosotros pasaron por el mundo?
Subid al mundo de los cielos,
descended a los infiernos,
si queréis verlos.

Viva la Universidad,
vivan los profesores.
Vivan todos y cada uno
de sus miembros,
resplandezcan siempre.

Vivan todas las vírgenes,
fáciles, hermosas!
vivan también las mujeres
tiernas, amables,
buenas y trabajadoras.

Nuestra vida es corta,
en breve se acaba.
Viene la muerte velozmente,
nos arrastra cruelmente,
no respeta a nadie.

¡Viva nuestra sociedad!
¡Vivan los que estudian!
Que crezca la única verdad,
que florezca la fraternidad
y la prosperidad de la patria.

Viva también el Estado,
y quien lo dirige.
Viva nuestra ciudad,
y la generosidad de los mecenas
que aquí nos acoge.

Muera la tristeza,
mueran los que odian.
Muera el diablo,
cualquier otro monstruo,

estaban dispersos.
-ENGLISH-

Let us therefore rejoice,
While we are young;
After our youth,
After a troublesome old age
The ground will hold us.

Where are those who before us
Existed in the world?
You may go up to the gods,
You may cross into the underworld
If you wish to see them.

Long live the university,
Long live the teachers,
Long live each male student,
Long live each female student;
May they always flourish!

Long live all young women,
Easy and beautiful!
Long live wives as well,
Tender, loveable,
Honest, hardworking.

Our life is brief,
It will shortly end;
Death comes quickly,
Cruelly snatches us;
No-one is spared.

Long live our fellowship,
Long live the studious!
May truth and honesty thrive,
Flourish with our fraternity,
And our homeland be prosperous.

Long live the state
And those who rule it.
Long live our city,
And the charity of benefactors
Which protects us here.

Perish sadness,
Perish haters.
Perish the devil,
Whoever other monster,
As well those who mock us!

Who has gathered now
Of the university?
They gather from long distances,
Immediately joining
Our common forum.

May our "Alma Mater" thrive,
That which educated us;
Dear ones and comrades,
Who we let scatter afar,
Let us assemble.

I also found the same website translation to some lines in German, which I'm including attending to our German readers. I dare not specify the beauty and accuracy of translation. However, I'll wait for my friend Martina Steinort from his native Dortmund, to address  to me  her criticisms and corrections.

-DEUTSCH-

1. Lebt, so lang die Jugend schäumt,
Freudigen Gefühlen!
Nach der Jugend froher Hast,
Nach des Alters trüber Last,
Ruhen wir im Kühlen.

2. Kurz ist unser Lebenslauf,
Bündig ist's vorüber;
Kommt der Tod mit raschem Schritt,
Nimmt uns jähen Griffes mit,
Keinen schont sein Hieber!

3. Wo sind jene, die vor uns
Diese Welt bebauet?
Schwinget Euch zum Götterzelt,
Steiget in die Unterwelt,
Wo ihr längst sie schauet!

4. Unsrer Schule nun ein Hoch!
Allen die da lehren!
Jedem Jünger ein Pokal!
Ihre Blüte allzumal,
Ewig soll sie währen!

5. Alle Mädchen leben hoch,
Wohlgestalt und schmiegsam!
Auch den Frauen bringen's wir,
Freundlich und von holder Zier,
Häuslich, fromm und fügsam.

6. Hoch auch das gemeine Wohl,
Jener die es leitet!
Trinkt auf unsre gute Stadt,
Auf der Gönner Freundestat,
Die uns Schutz bereitet!

7. Nieder mit der Traurigkeit,
Mit den alten Drachen!
Nieder mit dem Teufel auch,
Nieder, die den Burschenbrauch
Schmähen und verlachen!
